How To Avoid Playing Against Cheaters
For all the talk of poker cheating at online poker rooms, very little of it actually goes on successfully. Cheating devices that allow players to see other player's hand, or know what the communal cards will be are basically non-existant. The online poker rooms are very secure, and can easily sniff out anything that could compromise the fairness of play.
A slightly harder form of cheating to detect is "Collusion", but even this isn't a huge worry. Collusion is when two or more players play in the same online poker room, but communicate their hands to each other via phone, or by playing in the same room. Under specific circumstances, colluding players can gain an advantage, usually by raising and reraising to build the pot up as high as possible, causing other players to drop out.
Online poker rooms can usually detect colluders fairly easily, since they have to play in the same room in order to make a profit. As such, you probably don't need to worry about it. If you see two players than always seem to stay in the same hands together, and keep raising each other, driving everyone else out the hand, contact poker room management, and they will address your concerns.
